Our free barbershop exists to give our neighbors who grieve in Zion crowns of beauty instead of ashes. The haircuts cost my “clients” a deep conversation and doing something to improve the neighborhood. In addition to getting haircuts, we also have been training people to give haircuts.
To provide for those who grieve in Zion -
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. ~ Isaiah 61:3a ~ |
